If someone has a set of wheel studs not yet fitted, could they measure the depth of thread which screws into the hub. I'm going to get a set for my 135 and thought to add another set for my Mini which is 14 x 1.25 as well.

Thanks. I've contacted Apex and it is fourteen millimetres. I'm going to buy two sets. The postage is a shade over $80. I'll start another thread and sees if anyone who missed out on the group buy is still interested. A few extra sets probably wouldn't change the postage much.

Bugger I can't work out how to post a new thread. If anyone wants to contact me because they are interested in something, please pm me.

Guy who have the project kics do you use them with the end caps or does the stud just exceed the length of the nut?

It's flush so no caps. The ones I have installed don't come with caps anyway.

You would need a spacer to fit the caps.

Thanks mate got the ones with no caps and they fit nice :P

I had one of my studs snap after only being torqued up once before! my mechanic was torquing it up to 120nm and it snapped! Anyone experience this before? Apex has sent me replacements for free but just wondering,

You were torquing the studs or the nuts to 120Nm?

Studs only need about 40Nm + Loctite red.
Bolts can go on as per normal 120Nm torque spec.

mine said something like 15nm+loctite red, either way that's really not much, pretty much hand tight (i mean hand tight with the allen key)

strange that the studs would snap at recommended lug torque values though not good O_O

ED: and how are you guys going with 75mm studs? my 70mm ones are waaaay too long, i'd have been happy with 50mm, or even 40mm long haha.

Yes they are, same as Nuggets.

Mine are holding up great. Don't mind the length given the nuts I am using as it covers them completely. Also good to have as someday might need some spacers in there and its got us covered up to 12mm.

As Pete said with the Project Kics nuts the 75mm studs are fully covered.
See post 61 in this thread for some pics of mine.
