Lightweight Crank Pulley ???

Anyone fitted one of these yet ?
Did if make a noticabe difference ?
Will it matter that they don't have any vibration dampening ?

I'm on the fence about this one

If you are referring to NST's LTW CP...which I assume you are...

Please visit the following page for more info on this pulley...
http://www.nonstoptuning.com/pKitBMW335i.html

The NST CR-Lite Crank Pulley does NOT underdrive the accessories, and is roughly
65% lighter than the OEM pulley. 110oz vs. 40oz.

There are THOUSANDS of positive customer reviews
on many online forums. No cases of engine failure have been reported as a
result of NST pulleys being used.

You can read a bit more here...
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5661

Hope this helps.

what is the benefit of lighter pulley? Less strain on the system, faster revving?

Faster reving and slightly improved throttle response. Depending on the car and the weight of the stock pulley, it can actually add a little bit of powuh to the wheels.

That could be said about many mods - exhaust, intakes etc...

wouldn't do it since it is not harmonicaly balanced. Possible engine failure is not worth it to me for a couple hp. Granted this wont happen for a long time running the pulley
