They have to be on by US law. Don't know if Canadian law is the same but you're usually stuck with whatever we decide for auto regulations. In most other places this is not the case. It can be coded so they aren't always on, however, it is technically against the law.

This is also the reason we have the ugly yellow reflectors in the corners of our headlights while most other places do not.

Indeed, hre in europe turn signals are only used as turn signals.

Sort of on-topic re: install.

In the past when I have replaced the bulbs it has been a terrible time getting the passenger side light assembly cover back. Is there a trick or is it difficult because of my meatball hands???

Wear motorcycle undergloves (inner gloves). Will make the process less painful for your hands (at least less scratches).

Just wondering if anyone has noticed that the 5k look kinda yellowish during the day time?

They only look so in pictures, in real life they are an exact match with the eye brow, really nice
