Inside Performance Quad Exhaust Installed (Finally)

I finally received the exhaust and CF diffuser. Customs held it forever but it did arrive in perfect condition. I think these are the first shots anyone has posted that show the way they routed the pipes. It's still being broken in and the sound is changing as it does so i'll wait a couple days to post a sound clip.

Looking good. I wonder if it will make or lose power? That is the first thing that comes to mind. Regardless, post more photos once finished.

Because they didnt use any crazy bends and both pipes coming out of the silencer are the same size as factory, it shouldn't lose power. It's the most free flowing quad exhaust I have seen. I also like how they tucked the piping up so that you can't see it below the rear diffuser. For those that didn't see the pictures with the diffuser on, here is a link:

Visually, it's absolutely stunning.

However, I feel that the execution of the design is atrocious (after carefully looking at the first set of pictures).

I love it! I could care less what anyone else says; it looks damn good. I want to pick it up while I'm still here; I think I might go with the rolled tips though...we'll see.

Slo, no offense intended, all that matters is that you are happy with it, but am left scratching my head.

Wow, I have to say I am very disappointed by the build quality, and most importantly the design. Sure, it may look alright from afar, but seeing that the driver's side is truly single outlet (with somwhat cheap looking duals welded on when the exhaust port only comes out of one of them!), and then the passenger side is even worse - the exhaust outlet is on top of the tips and then the air 'splits' apart in the 2 fake dual tips. I would have expected better execution. This is by far worse than the fake vertically stacked Lexus IS-F exhaust tips...

Given the design I am almost positive there will be a visible difference in exhaust gas exit from both sides - very much along the lines of the 'fake' quad Eisenmann made for the E39 540i... Wait for a chilly morning to see the difference in condensation... I hope Hartge didn't chose this route as it looks very Meineke-like. I wouldn't expect any gains, in fact probably more backpressure, and possible weight addition. But as I said, as long as it floats your boat, then that's all that matters. I think now I am def not going the fake quad way, regardless of manufacturer...

truthfully dont understand the need/want for quad exhaust on a car that never had it... Theres simply not enough room under the car to do it right... I am also equally amazed people are ready to drop this much cash on something that looked like it had JUST decent build quality. Looks like the fasteners and mounting hardware was somewhat iffy at best.

Maybe I should go into business building exhausts for an already saturated market?
