Ive just fitted in my custom DEPOs and i realised the shroud on the LHD is more towards the front cover of the headlight compared to the RHD headlight. They pointing slightly off.

Is this normal?

What else is needed?

After reading zillions of the hid conversion threads, I'd like a little clarity on what is exactly needed to make a decent conversion.

So what else other than these, that seem to have received pretty good reviews.

Bulbs? LED rings? Muffler bearings?

Thanks for the patience.

I used this write up http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...t+bumper+cover to help uninstall the stock halogens and install the depos. I got them from this guy on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/271638158866...S:1123&vxp=mtr looks like he is getting them from these guys https://www.importgenius.com/importers/kt-campus-inc. I ran into two minor problems.
1. My corner amber light on the passenger side did not work (easily fixed by pushing out all connecting points on headlight and connector)

2. The lights were not level i had to level them with the adjustment screws they are still not perfect but they got me to my coder to delete the ambers+ have the rings on as daytime running lights etc)

Note: there are a few screws including the headlight washer covers that i didn't have on my 128i which are included on the uninstall write up

Who did you have code them? Just a local company or a chain?

Would be interested in seeing the photos of your car with them in.

They are beautiful though.... if you are a 128i owner with halogen lights this is the first cosmetic upgrade you should consider.

Hows the build quality? Are the angels as bright as they show on ebay?

The build quality is great. No the angel's are not that bright. I am going to code the voltage increase on them to help a little with the brightness. I will take a pic of them against a wall so you can see them before i code them.

Can the bulbs and angel eyes be replaced with Morimoto or LUX units? Would that provide brightness? It looks like the main beams are a tad yellowish?

Doing all the research myself and getting ready for the upgrade on my 128.

thx for the info!

Check out Umnitza V2s. May solve your issues for brightness. The only things that were yellow were the default DRL bulbs which can be turned off from the car settings. You have to turn on the parking lights to use the AEs as DRLs or let them know up front to get additional wiring to solve that issue.

This can also be done with BMWhat app. I did it in my e87 and it took about 3 minutes. You can also change the halo brightness but if you ever change back to normal lights the increased voltage will pop the non LED lights (ask me how I know LOL)

Looks pretty cool. http://www.ivini-apps.com/apps_detai...at_iphone.html

Amazon has it here http://www.amazon.com/iPhone-iPad-Wi...ustomerReviews

Ppl say the adapter is expensive when combined with the price of the software.

Any of you wo get the depos please do not put the Ziza halogen 6k bulbs from ECS on them i just installed them and they look terrible. I installed four in the headlights and 2 in the fogs. They still look yellow and do not match the 6k rings on the Depo v2's.

Hid or Led conversion kit. If anyone is looking for clear corner l.e.d stealth bulbs. I just bought and installed mine. They look great. Here is the link to them. They go for $24.62 I also got the stealth bulbs from Bimmian, so i'm gonna return them or sell them if anyone is interested.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/2x-Bau15s-75...RRIRTB:US:3160

Here is a quick video i made of them working.

Pics of Depo V2's with clear l.e.d corner bulb
