Stock 135i Exhaust on 125/128i

Got a stock 135i muffler installed on my 125i, sounds really good imo. Much much deeper and louder than the 125i exhaust, no drone at all. The exhaust note still sounds like a clean inline 6 hehe
They just cut the piping right before the muffler and welded it straight back on, took 20 minutes and sounds absolutely awesome!
Here's a short clip

Thanks for the tip. I have a 125i with stock exhaust and figured a BMW PE would be the next logical step to improve engine sound. I recently had ride in a 2011 Z4 with the 3.0 turbo and what appeared to be the stock exhaust, which I assume is similar to the 135i (?) In any case, it was much deeper and more tuneful than my 125i. Made me so jealous I am now looking for an upgrade...

Don't get me wrong, but the performance exhaust still sounds a lot better than this (if you're willing to pay!)
But, with that in mind, personally I think this sounds just as good, clean, deep and loud, the 125i exhaust is too conservative I think.

Nice mod plus i sounds good.

I have a friend with a German spec 125i(128i), he has a PE on his car and it sounds AWESOME! But he also just installed the N55 mid pipe... to give his ride some extra sound. I must say it really sounds good! And btw... he has also had his intake manifold(DISA valve) coded to work with his flash tune. SO he is pushing close to 276 PS out of his 3.0L NA.

Just picked up a 135i exhaust yesterday and hoping to install it soon. Thanks for helping me decide to do this!

Thanks ! Aw man I wish I had the cash to do that haha, I just love the sound of the N/A engine, the turbos in a 135 sort of kill it for me
Wasn't sure how the mids would fit though so I just left it with the muffler
