Getting Rid of RFT
I want to get rid of the run flat tires. I call my local tire shop, the guy suggested I get the Hankook tires... I have never heard of them, does anyone here has any experience with these brand of tires? Also, where can I get a good deal on tires? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I am looking to replace the RFT and according to Car & Driver, they rated "Dunlop Sport Z1 Star Spec" number 1 against 10 other brands including Michellen PS2.
Will 225/40/18 and 255/35/18 fits the front/rear stock wheel with no problem and no rubbing? Any one running this set up would like to comment? Thanks.

I would of course recommend PS2s. But Star Specs are a very good tire aswell and I will be considering them when my PS2s wear out.

Go for the Dunlop Z1 Star Specs. They are a FANTASTIC tire. I won the Washington D.C. Pro Solo STU Class in 2008 on a set of those. They wear nicely, turn-in is crisp and they grip like mad. I got over 1.0G lateral on these "street tires". I am getting a set for my 135i also.

I've heard very good reviews about the Goodyear Eagle F1's and even had a chance to drive them back to back on my friend's S2000 after some bridgestones. These tires are astounding and even in the wet amazingly.
I can vouch for the Michelin PS2's, but they're way too pricey and not much of a rain tire. I will not be purchasing them again, and I'm in California...Not much rain here I wouldn't put Hankooks on my car. Not that it's a bad tire... There are much better tires for nearly the same prices. |

If I was buying new tires today, they would be Hankooks.
You can get race tires that are "stickier" but they will not ride as well. I drive my car on the street and quiet comfort is more important than maximum grip. JMHO |
