Got my lights on Saturday as promised.... FInally got around to install them today. They look great and are great quality. BUT, I have to say that the engineers at BMW who designed the cover for these lights should be shot. Took me about 1 hr.... and my knuckles are hurting... Totally Frustrating.... Was regretting it for a 45 minutes but I finally got it to close and lock...

Great product... would recommend...

How bright are these compared to OEM? I'd love to get a set, but I would feel silly if the BMS LEDs brightness and light output are lower than the OEM bulbs.

I don't think it will be as bright during the day time.

I didnt expect much and told myself right after buying them...I should sell them and get the Alpine HID's but Im happy with them after installing them tonight.

My father used to work for BMW so of course before we didnt even look at the bulbs or headlights before we took the front bumber off and took the first headlight out. Then we both lol'd after we noticed we just did all that for nothing. Install was less than 10 mins. the components fit nicely in the headlight assembly cover.

Heres some pics that are self explanatory.....(taken on my crappy iPhone)

*Im not doing this for N54tuning.com...Im doing this so hopefully they could give me a discount on a future product :wink wink:....Hey its worked before!

Final product...

If I got screwed over and bought Ebay bulbs for $129.00 please let me know... but regardless I think they look great.

The pictures really dont give justice to the brightness because I think they are pretty damn bright compared to stock. I turned off my headlights driving down the street and they lit up atleast 15ft in front of my car so I was impressed.

Also...I ordered 3 items from N54tuning.com on Sunday night 3/11 (DCI's, Angel eyes upgrade, and Clutch stop) and I received all three today (3/14). From Cali to Miami, Fl. I got the email that they were shipped yesterday and came home to them today. I paid for the cheapest shipping but they still overnighted the parts so Im really happy with the shipping as I expected them to come sometime late next week. Honestly I think it was an error by them but Im not complaining.

I think i will have to order them also I hope delivery to Luxembourg will be possible

So how do these actually compare to the LUX? Anyone that's tried both?

I installed on my 09 128 vert and my 08 135 coupe... The vert was a bit of a pain as there is little cross brace/bar right behind both covers that I assume is unique to the verts, making it a super tight area to work in... Did it first prolly took me an hour.

On my 135 coupe, I was able to un-clip both covers and remove NIETHER... I just made enough space, tilting the cover(s) back a bit, to take out the old and plug in the new... 15 mins tops.
For those yet to get/install, you might try the "no need to totally remove the covers" method.
Both 1ers look/work great!

are these much better than the arc angel? I purchased the arc angel and they are okay. Dimming when the lights on puts them back to normal

If those pics are accurate, my LUX seem way brighter. Not trying to hate, they still look great.

These are as bright as the lux. Its hard to capture them on a pic, which makes comparing two separate pics hard as depending on angle, exposure they may appear, brighter or darker.

Here is a pic I took with a customer who happen to have the Lux v3 bulbs in his car. Its a crappy pic and my car was actually getting more sunlight shinning at it so the bulbs appear a little more yellow then they do as in reality the BMS LEDs are a little bluer/whiter then the LUX.

Regardless this pic will give you an idea of brightness as both cars are in one pic.

Those are on a 3 series though. I think the headlight design of the 1 series are different/ worse. Not trying to bash your product as I know they are great quality, it's just with the angle of the blue car a few posts up, my LUX look brighter. You're right it could very well be the picture and it's hard to show the true look.

Yes its a 3-series but the brightness comparison will hold for a 1-series

I suspect it's mainly the picture, as the point was not to get the Halos but pics of the car, those were just the best pictures of them that I had up to this point. My iPhone can't get a good pic, as it's always just a bright flash of light on my iPhone, and that's my only camera.

+1

The only way to get a true comparison is to take a pic of both at the same time. Hopefully as more and more of these get into customers hands we will get some comparison pics.

For those who ordered in the last day we just got a new batch in so yours are shipping out today
