Thanks for the compliments guys!

To be completely honest I couldn't give you a proper answer in regards to performance benefits as I don't usually push the engine that much... but in saying that it does seem to rev a little more freely than before when you get to 4k rpm and above... I feel it was worth it even if the only benefit was bling and sound though I can finally hear some half decent noise from the engine and boy does it sing!

I'll pm you about the cost and source.

I took mine to Philip Island last year and it was a lot of fun, except I have the 6AT which won't hold the gear I want through turns 2&3.
Wasn't that bad to be honest... once you know how to pull the boot trim apart it's pretty smooth sailing from there. Always happy to help so I highly recommend you go for it!

Keep it up Patrick!
Haha thanks Rob. Don't think I'll touch the suspension for now apart from maybe some select M3 bits but even thats a maybe. Handled itself well on the hillclimb and is more than enough for the daily duties. Plus the car park at uni has speed bumps literally every 10m for all 7 levels.

Set aside some time to do some maintenance work on the car with Kenneth (kmli5) today. New spark plugs for Ken and spark plugs plus engine and transmission oil for me.

Done! (almost)

We were both really happy with how clean the engine looked (ie. no oil stains etc) and also at the condition of the old plugs. Changing the plugs was surprisingly easy even with the 5th plug from the front being obscured by the chassis bracing that goes from the strut tower to the firewall (at least for me after I watched Kenneth do it first haha). Could easily do it in under an hour provided you have the right tools and you've got someone to help put all the plastic covers and cowlings back in. Car feels even smoother than before under acceleration and definitely has less vibration transmitting through the shifter on idle.

Thanks so much Ken for doing my engine oil and transmission oil change for me This Redline D4 ATF stuff is great - immediately felt slicker through the gears even when cold. VERY happy with everything done today!

I will have to check out the Redline D4 ATF. My AT has been holding gears a bit too long on occasion and not as smooth as it should be.

Let me know how it goes. I'm thinking I may need to give my 6AT a service... Been feeling that my upshifts in 1st to 3rd gear can be really jerky at times.

It's good to see members taking out the time to help others. You don't see that too often.
