Found my perfect 135i, except for one small problem

The interior is saddle brown, but I have always wanted a coral red bimmer. Is there anyway I can switch to coral red later on without killing my wallet? Does anyone know anyone who would want to trade (Sport, heated, for a convertible)

Thanks

No. Coral red is the most desired interior color and people pay premiums to swap on forums for it. To buy it yourself through a dealer will be a ton of $.

I was on the same boat as you man. Like the above poster said. Red is definitely a popular color. I waited so long for it.. But ended up buying black interior because I got a hell of a deal for the car. But you should check out the FS section of the forums. GL!

I would take the brown over red interior.

Given the popularity of Coral Red, you will probably find it's cheaper to just go to a trimmers and get the interior retrimmed in red, and you'll get a better quality leather for your money that the poor quality stuff BMW use.

Here in the UK, it's quite an expensive job to get done, but it's still only a few hundred quid more expensive to get a retrim in soft Nappa than the cheapo leather option cost from BMW when new, so I have no doubt it should be more cost effective to get this done in the USA given the amount of trim shops around catering for the Kustom and Hot Rod scene.

You might call around to your local upholstery shops. Normally to convert a car over to leather runs about $1,500. It all depends on material cost/selection. Not sure how much more a shop would want to do the door panels.

This. That saddle brown is such a nice color. I also wanted Coral red at first but as I started to consider I would be looking at the color every day for 2hrs, it got a little too much for me. I went with the standard black, but if I could have gotten the brown, I would have.

Went with alpine white and coral over stick shift in several other color combos. Wish I had stick, but the coral pops!

I have Coral Red in my Silver 135i convertible and do not regret it. Everyone who see it loves it, and keep in mind that there is still a lot of Black inside so it offsets the Red, which makes it look even better. If it were a Porsche though it would be too much since they tend to make interiors in one color throughout.

I do agree with this, also most of the time when driving your staring at the black dashboard and not the red seats.

Plus one. You have a sharp color combination. Red on red is a bit too much.

Total agreed on the classic black interior that is what I selected on my new
E93 M3.

I would choose brown over red personally. Friend has red and it's too showy in my opinion

I would definitely choose brown over red. It seems like everyone with coral red ends up selling their 135 sooner than others because when I was looking for a used 135.. All the cheapest ones I found (got all excited when I went to click on them due to the price) ended up being coral red because everyone wants to get rid of them so badly when they're sick of seeing red..

same here. Doesn't bother me. Got the car for a great price so there will always be some sort of sacrifice in line

I'm on my 3rd car with red interior and I wouldn't have it any other way.

It's also not a part of the car that you stare at. It's like having a red chair at work. The rest of the interior is black.

Yup, I love my red interior, and would happily order red again.
