Melbourne October Cruise!
Well, it's about time for another Melbourne get-together. There's a few more of us that have our 1ers, so it's time to get them out on the roads, doing what they do best. Seeing as none of you other Melbourne folk can ever be bothered organising it, it's up to me again.
Thinking Sunday Oct 19 as a date. Next question, do a repeat of the Reefton run which is great and traffic free, or do a Yea/Broadford cruise.

26th not good for me. That is the day of the Final Gear Melbourne cruise. Of course I would prefer to go with the 1 crowd.

Sounds good to me, but with all the mods you guys are doing and/or have done, I won't be able to keep up

Cozza, I doubt on roads like the ones we were on any power mods is gonna make much difference. But suspension mods will of course be a different story. However, given it is on the road, I doubt I will be pushing any harder than we were last time.

volk613 that FG cruise seems incredibely ambitious for a social gathering. A lot of freeway driving for about 90mins of great roads!
The date is now locked in on the 26th as I'm not unavailable on the 19th (down at PI with AussieRacer). Next question is the route. Mt. Baw Baw is a great fast run, have lunch on top of the mountain or we could look to do a Yea run, or a repeat Reefton. More then happy for suggestions

My calendar is good for the 26th
I think this will be my first drive, so I'll be taking it real easy. Plus I'll have the speed thing out of my system.

Baw Baw cruise is fun, really tight in places and need to be paying lots of attention. Better with a small group of people. But some awseome spots to put the pedal down.
Last time I did Baw Baw (Smarm did it as well) it was great except lots of crap on the road due to a storm a couple of days before. A long drive for sure though. Broadfoad/Yea run is quick and flowing and gives a chance to stretch the legs. |

250km is a pretty long drive. I rather liked the route we took last time. The weather is sure to be better this time, too. Should we put it to a vote?
