Julius,

Any change of getting Volk to make some specail offsets for the 1er if there's enough interest? 40 frnt and 45 rear is not exactly perfect I believe. A group buy would be great to help us save a few more bucks would be great too.. Just a thought.

40 and 45 rear with 8 and 9 setup should be OK. I should clear since I have rolled fenders in the rear

I don't want to pay over 3k for being ok...I want it perfect so I don't have to roll the fenders. For 8/9 setup I'm guessing 42/43 frnt and 46/48 rear would be ideal.

That's what I don't understand. From what I've always heard Volks are, technically, custom made to order wheels. So you should be able to get exactly what you want, although it could take 3-6 months.

I believe that these are from wheels of same width and about the same offset on a 5-114.3 bolt pattern. Should be very close

I believe that those pictures are of the L2 Face versions.

the 18 - 8.0 front is the S1 face and the 18 - 9.0 rear is the S2 face

volk wheels are generally not custom made wheels. I say generally, because they sell pre-defined fitments that are on their catalogs.

However, they can be ordered to a certain size and color. the only way that is going to happen is if we get an order of 10 sets or so and it will take roughly 3~5 months.

The spec that I listed on the OT is one that is right off of the catalog and can be ordered relatively easily.

Let us know what you'd like to do... if we have enough interest in one set of color and spec, I will do my best to work out the details with the supplier.

These are surely not conservative fitments but I don't think that they will create problems, depending on the tries.

I think that with 225/40-18 front and 255/35-18 rear would work perfectly without any issues.

they are a little less aggressive than the VMR VB3 by 0.5" front and back and I have heard good things about that fitment: (could be wrong). It means that the RE30 will stick out less than the VB3 by about 6mm front and back.

Julius,

225/40-18 front and 255/35-18 is exactly what I planned to do.
I can live with the 40/45 offset, but not with the black and polish lip.
Did Volk come out with another style like the TE's with that offset and
possibly that new bronze color?

10 sets are definitely possible for the special 1er fitment. Do we really have 10 people? Willing to do a really good price on these, if there are 10 people.
