1M Body Kit??
This may be too early BUT thought I would ask. Anyone considering add some of the 1M cosmetic parts to their 135? I do like the front fender and rear.
If you are, is it available anywhere yet?

Check out the commercial forum. Dan@UnitedBMW is selling 1M parts. The 1M body kit will run you around 3k not installed or painted I think... Check it out!

3k unpainted seems like a waste to me. There are other wide body kits out there (CF too) for cheaper and they look better. To me the 1M is ugly as hell. Awful ricey front bumper, weird rear diffuser, the back looks awkward with the fenders sticking out so much from the thing body. The suspension redeems the car itself, but in terms of the body (for just widening the fenders), there are other options:

Evolution raceworks is the most convenient to get a hold of:
http://www.evolutionracewerks.com/?q=node/55 Fiberglass, dry or wet carbon. Dry carbon costs only a bit more than the non carbon M widebody. Wet carbon is cheaper. Studie Japan and CA Automotive International also make them. Theres more (I think some guy on the forum also wants to make em but not sure) but I'm on my iPhone and can't look so extensively

Are there other threads around discussing the 1M body parts on a 135? I personally love the 1M body, and could be interested in making the change sometime but wonder what that would entail.
I've searched around the forms for months but this is the first I've really come across it being mentioned. |

I think it looks more aggressive, I wouldn't put a M badge on even though they are all over the interior

I have been doing some research and I am wondering if the price is worth the hassle of not just buying a 1M.
I wanna know how much it would be to do a full 135i --> 1M conversion (Minus the name) I won't be putting an M badge on it but I do like the style. Do you think the suspension would be a plug & play or would I need some alterations to the chassis? I have money to burn but too impatient to wait for my dealer to mark up my M. I'll just build myself a 1M for half the price and have fun with it too.

I am thinking about doing a 1M body kit as well. I personally would trade my car in for a 1M but I don't think BMW is going to be making a 1M Cabriolet. My plan was to do all the 1M bolt on parts for the body, suspension and rear diff (minus the badge). Still thinking about it as I may just trade my car in for a M3 cab based on how much it will cost me to do the conversion.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but aren't the rear fenders welded to the frame structure??? There is also that piece that wraps all the way around the top of the windows to the hood.

Rear fender widening done right will be extremely expensive. And there are so many things that can go wrong. Not to mention you will kill your car's resale value.
