Car Detailing
Hi Gents and Ladies.
Keen on getting your views on which company in sydney to use to detail a 1'er. The car has a few small paint chips on the front, would like these resolved, but also want a really good detail inside and out. I've been looking through older posts, people are recommending DMS Detailing, but it looks like the business was sold off late last year, and the website is no longer active? If it makes any difference I'm in West Ryde. Paul |

Dan from DMS moved to Melbourne, so they are gone.
Mark from Dr Detail has a good rap on some of the forums.

Paul I'm getting my car done by http://www.ocdonline.com.au/ next week, he did my mum's X5 last week and I was pretty happy with that, although it wasn't a full detail... on my 1er I'm getting him to do a full paint correction, including wet sanding in some areas to remove some bad stains in the clearcoat.
If you've got paint chips, that's unfortunately beyond the extent of a 'detail'... so it sounds like you got a car? more details?! |

Thanks stu will look at ocdonline. Stone chips are not too bad, but I'd want rid of them.
Still looking, getting closer but nothing yet. Went and saw a few cars from carsales on the weekend, cant say I was impressed by any. An option I've been contemplating for a while I'm having a closer look at (mech inspection etc etc) Paul |

OCD Detailing - Great Experience
Guys,
Just thought I would pass on a recent great experience with OCD - www.ocdonline.com.au I bought a mini detail from that offer on qoop.com.au that was going around for the X3. With the 1M coming, I thought I'll be a bit distracted from the X3 and wanted to make sure it got some love and attention. From the start, the communication and experience with Lionel from OCD was outstanding. Really, customer service like you would not believe. On time, responsive, extremely thorough, with a full email recap on everything done, and before and after pics posted on OCDs facebook gallery. He comes right to your house or office and does the work on the spot. After the job was done, I asked whether he thinks it needs a clay bar next time, and, instead of just selling the service, he actually said it doesn't need it and that a good wax is probably sufficient. In other words, an honest appraisal instead of just selling me services without thought to the long term customer relationship. I've always enjoyed doing some of this myself, but Lionel will definitely be a regular for us. Thoroughly recommended. Last edited by Ascari; 08-25-2011 at 07:03 PM.. |

Might sound cheesy and all, but it's true - Alex (Taymaishu) did do a great job on my car. Credit where credit is due, Alex might just be starting out, be he is good at this. After a couple of trips to Canberra and no wash I gave my filthy car to Alex and he worked wonders with it. My CSL style wheels must have been a major PITA to clean, but he actually got every single spoke clean and even the did the tight edges at the ends of the spokes.
Next impressive job was with my exhaust tips! I thought they were dirty beyond the point of return with stains/marks/etc... But they look absolutely fantastic now. However.. nothing compares to the smoothness the car had after he was done. I spent a few good minutes stroking the car because it just felt so nice lol! For the forum member price he did me it was an insane amount of work. I think he said it took him from 10am-5pm or something? Anyway if any of you are thinking about a detail then be sure to give Taymaishu a go. |

Agreed, I was interested to look but just gave up when I had to "like" a page.

Tay, you may not have intended it to be but we do have to 'like' your site before fb goes to your home page.
Notwithstanding we can always 'unlike' a site at any time @ bottom left corner of a site homepage. |
