stalled

i parked my car in the garage today and released the clutch before shifting from 1st to neutral. since my handbrake is already on, the car didn't even get to move and stalled right away. does this cause any significant damage to the drivetrain or engine?

thanks guys, just need some reassurance.

I did that too. Now I have a little skid mark on my garage floor.

HAh...that's funny. Not a problem, it would be just like stalling on the street. I've done it once or twice - it's weird how you need to keep your foot on the clutch while the engine is turning off - I know why, it's just wierd.

Yeah same here, I hate that clunk sound though so I'm always clutched in when shutting off the engine.
