TIRE & WHEEL INSURANCE PRICES
I picked up my brandnew 330i yesterday and it is truly awesome. My dealership in Jacksonville, FL quoted me Tire & Wheel insurance prices as: 5YR - $657, 4YR - $590, 3YR - $505. What is everyone else paying? Does anyone know if I am authorized to buy the Tire & Wheel insurance from a different dealership. If so, can you tell me what you paid and what dealership?

I believe I paid $549 bucks for 4 year premium policy (the standard one was cheaper, can't remember)...that's wheel/tire coverage...this is from Passport BMW, MD. Price probably was open for negotiation, but I had a great deal and didn't bother... I think there is no problem in buying the policy from a different dealer as the policy (suppossedly) is honored by all within the dealer network...
Do you need the policy in sunny FL?? Your streets are in far better shape than us up here in the NE...

JSpira: Ahh I stand corrected once more. I was assuming based on what was briefed to me i.e. that I could just bring the car over to any BMW dealer (hance the incorrect presumption of 'network') and they should be able to honor the tire/wheel plan...

I paid $488 for my 5 year policy. There's no "network" really but if I need to get a tire replaced in the middle of nowhere then I just pay for it and then call the insurance company to get reimbursed.

I was quoted $599 for 2 years during delivery of my car. I negotiated it down to $299.
