08 vs 09

Hey guys,

I just picked up my 135 a few days ago and I can't begin to explain how happy I am about it . But yesterday, I looked at the start/stop button and it said "year 1 of the 1" around it. I realize they had this for the 08 model since it was its first year, but mine is "supposed" to be an 09 (as the dealer told me), I looked on the side of the door panel it says it was built 09/08 which could still mean it is an 09 but I'm not sure. What do you guys think? And what should I do to really make sure it is an 09?

It is an 09. It was built within the first model year and that's why it has that. Lots of threads like this.

Sorry if this seems like a stupid comment but I have no idea what key words to search for for this, could you post a link?

Here you go.

Hey congrats on the new car! Here, this is a link to the bmw vin decoder posted by Imported_Mpower. Its in a sticky here under the ordering forum. Just enter the last 7 digits of your vin and it'll give you the production year and month, along with other interesting information.
