love it, same colour combo as me

some pics (although crap) - http://blogs.citypages.com/blotter/2..._disfigure.php

what if I say if I paid 85k? in AUD!

it's weird how they give different options as standard in different countries.
In australia, we get most of the stuff in the premium package in the base price, along with rear parking sensors and all the M sport package crap. But we have to pay extra for the sunroof.

Justin(OCK): when did you order your car, they had that colour available in Australia since about the beginning it went on sale. The funny thing is, the Lemans blue isn't in the catalogue, I had to ask for it!

The thing I love about the Lemon trim, is the door card tops are black, unlike some beige trims which are all over, lovely car, enjoy.

Uh, I ordered on March 21, 2008 and took delivery May 16, 2008. It finished production April 15, 2008. So, at that time there was no M-sport package or Lemans Blue in the US.... I probably wouldn't be hacked about it if they didn't change the iDrive in '09 and if they had sent me the special book that I have yet to even see!!! It's ok....I'm going to love my car when I get the wheels and suspension on it, I just know it.

RobMason, where did you get those dates anyway? LOL

I'm stunned, this might be the best looking 1er I've ever seen. Congrats Rob.

And to the folks griping about the $50K MSRP, guess what, these cars aren't cheap! If you're buying a car that you're going to keep for many years, get exactly what you want even if it costs you a few K more. If you can't swing it or justify the $, buy used or wait for an end of the model year fire sale like I did. Any of those paths are better than buying a car that doesn't have a feature that you miss.

A convertible would have been even more.

The MRSP is 50K. I didn't pay MSRP. In addition to paying only a few hundred over dealer invoice, I purchased it with BMWs 1.9% financing. I have never borrowed money so cheaply in my life.

On previous BMWs NEW, I paid $30K for my E30 M3, $35K for my E36 M3 LTW, $50K for my E46 M3 (I paid MSRP here because BMW was asking over $15K more than that). So less than $50K for a 135i at 1.9% finance rate is on par with everything else.

And it is only remarkable in light of the fact that I purchased my options from the factory. I would venture to say that there are many who have much more than $60K into their cars. Consider the following:

Performance exhaust
performance suspension and springs
camber plates
performance intake
carbon fiber tail spoiler
front and side body panels,
carbon fiber diffuser
carbon fiber interior and dash parts
JB3+
different wheels and tires
spacers
short throw shift
custom shift knob
spare tire and tools for changing flats
carbon fiber mirrors
window tint
clear plastic bra
shadowline grill
stainless steel pedals
floor mats
aftertermarket GPS

And for the racers, race cage, custom race seats with 4 corner harness.

People seem shocked that I added my mods from the factory, rather than added them after I took possesion of the car. I wonder why? Interesting isn't it?

Robert, are you trying to rub my face in this ? We need more interior shots of the alcantara headliner. I don't think anyone has posted any real CLEAR pics of the headliner yet.
