I haven't opened the Bridgestone CD yet - you are undoubtedly right that it's the 760, I was standing next to the Ferrari F1 car and not paying as close of attention to the model degination of the tire as I should have been. ; -)

JAMS 135, I would have suggested the Yokohama ADVAN Neova AD07, but the 255-18" is in a 40 aspect ratio which is not ideal--too tall and potential clearance issues-- someone will likely test it though.
Hugo, that new Bridgestone looks interesting. Gill, is there any info on it from Tire Rack?

Not much. Part numbers are built and they should start arriving late this month but not much press on them yet.

You guys should check out the Falken RT-615 in a 225/40/18 F and 255/40/18 R fitment. DTD has them for $139 and $165 respectively. They have free shipping as well. Nate

The RT615 is a really good value in ultra-high performance tires alright. They are a little dated for SCCA street tire classes, ranking 3rd or 4th, but a fine value for the street. Too bad they don't come in 255x35-18 instead of 255x40.

What tires are #1 and 2 in STS? I'm sure the RE0-1R and the ADVAN Neova AD07 are both in that list but both are quite a bit more expensive than the RT-615. The RT-615's $/grip factor is hard to beat. Nate

If you and your car are competitive in STS regionally then the Bridgestone or Yoko should be your choice. If being class champion is not the goal of your fun day at the autocross then the RT615 is fine. A 2007 Solo National competitor in STU (E36 M3) decided to go with the REO-1R and later felt he should have stayed with the Yoko AD07. his wife won STU-L though.

I am currently running a set of RE050A Pole Positions and can honestly say they are a softer and slightly less responsive ride than my previous Michelin Pilot Sports. Those tires were much harder and really turned on a dime! I can only imagine how sick the new Pilot Sport PS2's are. I'd go that route personally.

Three of my four 261M wheels arrived at the dealership today.. expect the fourth one tomorrow. Still have to decide on tires. Now leaning towards Bridgestone RE 760: 225/40/18 front and 245/35/18 rear. Hope that will work okay. The front diameter is 25.1 and the rear 24.7. Thoughts?

Gill, what's your opinion of the Yokohama S.drive? At least it's available in OEM sizes. My TT has Dunlop Sport Maxx mounted and those not only wore quickly (useless prior to 15,000 miles) but there was a definitive fall off in grip as the tires wore, noticable after about 5,000 miles. Point is are premium tires really worth the extra money if the performance fades quicker then they wear? ...and that's fast too.

I haven't seen anyone mention the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1's yet. Having run them on my E36 M3 as daily drivers for several months now (including autocross and a couple track days), I will absolutely look at these for the 135 as soon as it needs new tires. They offer a good selection of 18" sizes so it shouldn't be too hard to find a combination that will work well. Not to mention the fact they are $50 to $100 a tire cheaper than several mentioned on this thread.
Just my 2 cents worth (I know...even at that it's overpriced...)....

You'll get more wear from it than from the Dunlop but not by a huge margin.

I'm going to reveal my ignorance, but please explain why this might be a bad idea: What if I wanted to put 245 up front and 285 in the rear? Can I do that? (Those are the numbers from the Vette, the largest god-forsaken tires I've ever seen).
