Onboard dash temp sensor?

Hi,

Strange issue on my car since I've had it, the onboard temp between the dials shows the temp way higher than it really is on the outside. For instance, it shows like 30degs, when its like 4 outside!

Anyone know which temp sensor this is? I thought it was the temp probe just in front of the intercooler, but it's not that. Is is linked to the engine thermostat?

thanks

Think this could be it? 4 degrees Celsius = 39.2 degrees Fahrenheit
