What items are included when taking delivery?

For example when I picked up my 2008 335i last year the car had a missing LED flashlight (located in left side of glovebox) & a wrench (for the sunroof). I had the items replaced of course. So what are the notorious items (if any) that people on here are always talking about? Thanx.

You should get a small toolkit that contains a dual ended screwdriver, a dual ended wrench, and a tow hook. Optionally, you might get the hex key for the sunroof (for an emergency close) and wheel lock keys, if your dealer included wheel locks. No flashlight though. My dealer also threw in a quart of BMW Oil in a little zipper bag. I also got a box with 4 spare lug bolts, left over when the dealer installed the wheel locks.

Thank you. That is why I love this site so much...you ask a simple question & you get abova & boyond that. And yes I saw that lil pouch in the right side of the trunk. Where does it go? Under the rar tray near the battery?

Make sure that you get both the Ipod Y-cable and the flash drive extension cable if you ordered the 6fl option. Check your manual pack for completion. No flashlight is given

Then someone at the dealer stole the wrench and screwdriver. Could be to replace someone else's missing ones.

Yes - thet is a perfect place for it. If you do get wheel keys, don't leave them there, though. A wheel thief can spot them too easy. Keep your keys at home in the safe.

Thanx for everyone's responses. I probably will not get wheel locks but you never know. Cool place where the battery is that's for sure (somehwhat reminds me of a racecar). As for 6FL option my car unfortunatly does not have it so I will have to transfer my existing Ipod (non 6FL BTW) from my previous 335i coupe & have programmed/installed into the 135 coupe (if it can be done that is) I hear mixed stories on this one .

What is the "manual pack" you are reffering to and are you sure about the flash drive extension? I take delivery in Munich next weekend and I got my i-pod cable from the dealer, but no word about a flash drive extention...

Thanks!

Unless you are planning on expensive aftermarket wheels, I don't blame you. I got talked into the locks on my '99 E46 and it's a pain to remember to have the keys available for winter tire switchovers, brake jobs, etc., etc.

I have almost a complete kit now (except for dual head wrench). Is that the same wrench you find in any of the BMW's tool kit such as a 335i???

I'm about to head over to pickup my 135! It arrived early...anything else I should watch out for when dealing with the Stealership?

The manual pack should have 5 or 6 total documents in it, depending on the options ordered on the car. I can give you a list of what was in mine if you like, just let me know.

The extension cable is a small 6 or 8 inch long cable with USB connectors on it that allows you to park a flash drive in the cupholder or inside the armrest or ipod pouch. It's needed since there isn't much clearance between the USB port and armrest bottom.

Hope that helps.

I only got the hook, but my sales guy was able to jack one from the other 135 in stock, I'm pretty sure that is why they are all missing one thing or the other.
