VMR hyper black wheel care (question)
I just picked up a set of hyper black wheels from a fellow board member.
They are in pretty good condition, I was simply curious to know what I can or cannot wash the wheels with. I've always been am OEM wheel guy, therefore simple car wash liquid worked fine on the wheels. Also given the fact that I wash my car/wheels weekly, road grime/brake dust doesn't really have a chance to ever bake on. The only reason im asking, is because of the "chomeish" finish that hyperblack has hence I want to make sure not to dull it with any foreign soaps or cleaners. Thanks for your weigh in! |

Well one thing that might be relevant is whether these are painted or powder coated.
It is safe to say that you can use any wheel cleaner that mentions "safe on all finishes". Like always, check on a small spot, preferable inner well, before first use. If they are painted I would stay away from using any brushes for fear of scratching wheels. Powdercoats on the other hand are much more durable and tougher so to speak. I'm not a pro though, just my 2 cents and experience. Maybe somebody more qualified can chime in. |

Go to detailedimage.com and in the search box type wheel cleaner and you will see a bunch of safe wheel cleaners to choose from.
They ship extra quick!
