I got my iCarbon diffuser today also. Hope to put it on this weekend. What was the cost to get your diffuser painted?

I was thinking of getting mine painted Alpine White to match my car but I'm going to wait until I see what the diffuser looks on the car. Thanks for the info.

iCarbon piece painted Alpine White would be sweet. This is not an iCarbon, but you could do something like this.

Im sorry if this is insulting, do what you like...but I think a painted ICarbon diffuser is a god aweful look for this car. Totally destroys the lovely cf contrast it gives the rear end. I dunno

Trunk looks sweet man, gotta say thou, doesnt that injen tube leading to the filter completely negate the purpose of an all-around filter with an open top? Seeing as 95%+ of the air from the snorkel goes straight to that specific part of the filter..ur either gonna hafta consistently spin and clean that filter or something

Thanks! We shall see, won't we!

In all reality though... I'm pretty sure that air is not only going through that part of the filter, because that is not how a turbo charged intake works. It is pretty much constantly sucking in air from where ever it can. Ever hear of a plenum? Well, the old air box used to act as a plenum to collect air for when the turbo/engine needs it, so that the engine is not starved. Well, now the plenum is the entire engine bay, so a lot more air when the engine needs it. That is part of the reason why an intake can potentially help the engine create more power.

Question on the diffuser:

When installing the new one, the clips didn't really have that "snap" that I was expecting. It almost seems like they are there just to hold up the diffuser on top, and most of the supporting is done by the screws along the bottom. Also, the stock diffuser had 6 screws, and the new one only had 5 holes. Anybody else encounter this? Right now it is just on with the 5, and seems okay.
