if you want it gone, price it at 39990 and wait for the right offer. if you want to keep it, then you're doing good

I paid $28K for my 2006 Manual back in Nov with 80,000km There were no cars listed in the country at the time for less than $32K besides a white one in Vic at $29K with 160,000 km on it.

Mine doesn't have idrive or the intake and the paint was not is as good condition as yours. But it did come with LSD and both an 18" and 17" set of wheels and a well documented history.

I could get a pretty good SatNav, professional detail and respray of the bumpers for well under the $16K difference

Also some of the cars listed when i was looking in Oct are still up there.

The 130i is a niche car and the numbers of buyers are limited. However stock is limited too, so it will be a waiting game.

Another problem you will have is that you will be up against the brand new car market as you can get a brand new VW Golf GTI for the same money.

Someone has to know and want a 130i

Not trying to put a downer on it but just giving you some facts. If i could have streched to a 135i i would have but this is a toy car for me and not a daily.

Where can you find 08' 135i under $50K???
I got an 09 135i with pro nav CIC, balance of new car warranty, convertible from a BMW dealership for that mate.

135i' will consistantly be selling for under $50k now in my opinion

You could have saved yourself the $60 odd you paid for the carsales listing as you will defintelly keep it at that price.

tough market for sellers these days, lots of cars out there.. if only they called the 130i a M130i at the time :P .. would have differentiated it abit like the S3's to the A3's lol..

The sad thing is 120i's are nearly going for the same price, because the female market loves those cars.. and the "eco stuff" has been drummed so hard into everyones brains..

but yeh, i was in the market a couple of months ago, I totally didnt know about the 130i, and would not have tried it if the S3 drive hadn't been so depressing.. I assumed the R32 would've been worse, then i went searching.. and went.. oh.. how bout a bmw?

Bruno in the end if you dont try you'll never know. maybe put the words S3/ R32/ 120i in your ad as well might get a few more ppl looking and seeing really how good a 130i is, in that price bracket.

Times are tough. Sold it and bought an old banger instead.

The SA one had the right gear on it and price was realistic. Looked like a nice car.

Ah I didn't know you sold the car. I'm sure you had some great memories with it. IIRC you're now restoring a 2002? Good luck!

Good tip!
But isn't the search based on how i registered the car for sale? So it will only show up when people search for BMW?

When you quick search a model, eg by just entering 130i or 135i, it will show cars that have either that listing or those words/numbers in the comments section (hence why I saw a 350z and Sti last time i quick searched 135i)

Resto was finished back in 2010. Had some fun with it and then sold it.
What are you driving at the moment?
