Yeah, i know a couple of Syndikat cats. (Und Ich sprechen und verstehen ein bissen lol) I've had a couple of buisness cards left on my 1er also. I have to say though BMW shows/meets always have better majority of tasteful cars compared to say the opel\vx, honda\toyota guys.

I think the only ones better than BMW dare I say, would be the Audi\VW crews. Lots of great machines and engine swaps. And porsche everything lol.
I was at a small meet the other night and met a guy with a really clean 91' Audi S2. He had it tuned to somewhere upwards of 300hp. Really nice. Porsche brake swap and such.

I think the problem here in germany is that with the TUV, they cant really do much in the way of performance, so looks are the next thing they mod. And even that is heavily regulated. They def have the want, they just don't get the leniency.
