Underdrive Pulleys
Is anyone even attempting to make underdrive pulleys for our engine?
I've been searching forever, and cannot find anything. |

Nope. Water pump is electric, the fan is electric and all that is left would be a crank pulley and possible alternator and/or power steering.

As an aside, my personal experience with under drive pulleys is that they aren't worth it regardless. They can cause battery charging issues if you idle as much as expected for a daily driver. I wouldn't put one on a car unless it was a fairly dedicated race car (track car, weekend autocross car, not a daily driver).
Now a lightweight pulley might be worth it, but I'm sure there are still differing opinions on that even for an I6.

S85 makes decent power from them. I doubt you would get more than one from our car.
Never been a fan of lightweight pulleys for balance reasons.

And lightweight flywheels while we are at it.
Assuming crank as we have essentially no accessories.

Same reason, plus all the chatter.

Who really cares about chatter?
Anyways, LTW is actually a great upgrade. My friend had a E36 M and did a LTW Flywheel with E39 M5 Clutch. The car grabbed second gear and was faster through first than my Z4M. My car felt like a slug compared to a car with 100 less HP. |

It was nice for the downshifts, but the N52 with the 6MT is hardly sluggish on the downshifts thanks to our relatively light stock flywheel and very light engine internals. It's not like we have a G37 engine.
