This pretty much sums up what I think too. Trying to control the throttle at the apex of a turn is pretty damn hard with these maps. I actually revert to stock for track days =\

If you press the gas pedal down between 0% and 20% to just drive around slowly it's fine to drive smoothly with good control over the positioning of the throttle plate. If you decide to back off the gas or press it down further the plate opens or closes as much or as little as your press. You CANNOT drive "spiritedly" well or easily because once you press the gas pedal down to 50% or more the plate opens up completely 100% and remains open no matter if you are pressing the gas pedal down to half way or all the way. So if you want to drive fast but not quite 100% you really don't have a choice because it acts like an on/off light switch. Keep that in mind folks for those that can truly drive a car right and know the importance of being able to modulate the throttle precisely. Drives me mad... If you guys at Cobb would be able to rectify this issue it would be greatly appreciated and desired. I am sure most don't notice this but if you progressively press the throttle in and then progressively let it out you will see what I am saying.

Looks like Cobb released the 3.01 maps final! New throttle mapping available with a new Drive and Sport Stage 1 option.

Anyone try these new maps yet?

I would be excited if I wasn't eagerly awaiting for the imminent release of stage 2 maps.

New 3.01 maps great!

I only tested "Drive" Linear throttle and "Sport" Linear throttle... Both excellent... I have left it in "Sport" Linear for now as I find it perfect... will test the others soon... Great choices Cobb, this was a surprise... a very welcome one. Amazing results so far.

please see the million other threads/posts where this is exact same question is asked. It's in development, but at the bottom of the priority list for Cobb at the moment.

Thats too bad, seeding the n55 tune business to the piggyback makers out there who have deigned to produce engine tunes for us. Im patiently awaiting for cobb because I like their approach for a car with 3 yrs left on the warranty and factory maintenance, and because I like software tunes better than piggybacks. But it would help the wait if Cobb showed just a hair more interest in this part of the market by issuing more communiques as to development status, etc. Perhaps their hands are full with what theyve already got in production.. Im just saying, it would be nice if it were otherwise.

The lack of CONSTANT updating keeps the community coming back looking for updates... Look at yourself; You're more panty-twisted over cobb that you would ever be otherwise.

i.e. Their methods are working, and you're playing right along. It's like any romantic relationship. One will always be chasing the other. Cobb doesn't seem to want/need to chase customers, so guess what.

Carry on with wheresstage2wtf/n55?/howaboutATR/stg2eta?/n55cmon

It's in the best interest of Cobb to fully develop for the N54 platform before they dive into N55... I have a feeling that once stage 2 official maps are out there and proven to be reliable that we'll see an N55 stage 1 tune pop up rather quickly... I'm sure their guys have learned ALOT about cracking the software for the N54 and alot of it will translate into success with the N55.

Edit: Summer ends in 4 days... wheresstage2wtf/howaboutATR/cmon!

I guess its the opposite approach of the continual bombardment we get from the JB folks et al, eg, '' Urgent, N55 testers needeed!' etc, that we get hit with. Keeping a product in limited distribution does work; if what youre interested in is limited short term sales. However for those vendors willing to wait, I suppose the payoff can be bigger.. UNLESS the customer gets tired of waiting and decides to go with a piggyback, or even a Dinan or Procede or something flash..

While, they may be purposely holding back on n55 release, I think its more likely that theyve got their hands full with various stages of release for fixes and upgrades for existing product.

Kamal, I hope you're right!!

I do too. I only leased my car for 3 years, and if they aren't planning to even give estimates or status for production, I will get something else. I've had my car for over a year and I want a tune, but I won't wait until I only have a year left on my lease.
