The 1 series for me is a daily run-about.
If there was no 1 series then I'd have a Mini Cooper S John Cooper Works. Similar price similar performance compared to a 128i. . |

If there was no 1, I would have continued trying to decide on one of the following (had been mulling over what I really wanted for a year):
911 Boxter S M3 335 Exige (although eliminated pretty quickly on comfort) Maybe something exotic in a slightly used condition. Really just wanted something fun to drive, preferably vert, regardless of price. The 1 is a really fantastic value!

g37 coupe, or 2010 camaro
those are the only two coupe's I've seen that are similar in price/performance possibly a cayman S but I do prefer back seats

When this came out and I read the reviews and looked at the entire package it seriously made me pause (not for to long mind you...). It is a testament to GM to release an American (Australian?) car that I actually considered...
Still might get a slightly used one in a year or two if I decide to grow a family..:wink: |
