I'm living in Cologne, but my parents still live in Aachen (hometown of Ac Schnitzer). We bought all of our bmw/minis there (E28, E60, 2x Mini, 1x E36 Compact).

I like the CSR Lids the most. The Mattig are too boring in my opinion...

I did an estimate on the FedEx website for what a single 10 kg (assuming eyelid sets are 1 kg each, which is what the websites seem to say, so if 10 people want to buy eyelids) package from Cologne to NJ is, and putting in all the customs information (auto parts, valued about 600 USD) the shipping total is about 160 USD. 16 dollars a pair is much less than the 48 if shipped individually..

slog - ?? (but since you suggested starting a group buy thread, I assume you want something)

Anyone else? Maybe more people will take notice and join in when a group buy thread gets started, I really don't want to have to pay TOO much for shipping. 10 people / $16 overseas shipping would be sweet

I'll start an actual group buy thread, but anyone know if it should just go in this cosmetic section, or should it go in the commercial sales section where I see many other group buy threads?

Maybe for some, but you can't beat $160 painted. I could always trim it down later if I wanted to.

I can ship from my apo address at a flat rate priority mail. I just need to order to my german address and then ship them from my base. Hopefully that wouldnt be to illegal and it will work. How many people want them? It would be easiest to send them all in one big package so I only have to do it once. they might give me problems if i look like im runnin a buisness outta there lol. I'm sure i could fit tons of eyelids in one flate rate box so the shipping would be next to nothing.

They're just to little plastic pieces.

I could buy the lids at CSR/Mattig and send them in 1 package to you.
You could send them to NY 4 free.
Would not be that expensive.

Paint job is no problem. I think it would cost about 30-40€ MAXIMUM per Set.
If there are sets which should be painted the same color, the price would definetely be lower.
Bigger amount of sets = lower price for each one (doesn't matter which color)

Also, I could paint mine here, I don't mind. So far the people I listed above are the only ones who have given me definite yeses, so I'm going to start am "official" group buy thread in a moment to see if anyone else wants in on it.
