I did and they told me no. I found a few shops that could bench flash my ecu, one tried for 9 hours and couldn't get the ecu to allow him to see the stock map! I gave up and went back to JB4. It works well enough for me and makes plenty of power. As soon as I get the money saved up Im looking at the Stage 1 upgrade turbo.

How much time should it take to install pure stage 1 on n55 135i??
Was quoted $1200 - $1500 to do it in approx 10 hours here in Australia. Seems excessive?? |

Yes, my stage1 was done in under 4 hours. That is if you just get a core. If you get a full manifold (normally you dont with stage1) like with stage2 it takes 8/10 hours.

just got the stage 1 installed and put back together; throwing a 2C57 generic code, valves are ticking much louder than normal and not building boost/throttle holds steady at roughly 30% in terms of "feel" - I'll go all the way to floor with it but there no change in response after about that 30% mark.
Am i looking for a vacuum leak somewhere? I thought I got everything re-connected; oil pressure is good and no coolant issues according to car. |

I do plan on adding meth to the equation but not in the near future, thus, I'd like to know if I'm good to run my stage 2s with my current jb4 maps—or better yet, a custom map 6 targeting 20psi which is in the readable range of my current TMAP sensor. I'm not sure if this is even possible with just my jb4 and stage 2s (no flex wire, no 3.5 TMAP, no backend flash) or if I would be limited by octane (94oct). |

When you say "only on stage 2 turbo" is that without a BEF, flex fuel wire, and 3.5bar TMAP? I was hoping to just set jb4 with map 5 with 94 octane after installing my stage 2s.
