WTB 1M Feeler
Im in the middle stages of deciding to make the jump from 135i to 1M. I was unable to pick one up about 6 months ago due to location and missed one. Im not looking again and considering the 1M or other viable sports cars. If anyone has a 1M and interested in selling it for 40k -45k please contact me here via reply, or PM if you wish to be discreet. Also my email is djkapeesh@gmail.com feel free to email to discuss. |

Amusing I know but in actuality one just sold for 47k here in Tampa that I missed (Black) and a guy on here sold one from Canada in the 40s. So although they may be posted in the 50s, with the M2 on the horizon they actually do sell for 40s.

As for $47k, YES you can find 1Ms for $47k. Will they have a crash history? PROBABLY. Will they have a 3-owner history? PROBABLY. I've been following the 1M market for almost 2 years now.....almost as a hobby! LOL....and it is complicated. If you really want to pay $45k, my suggestion to you is the following: (A) find a higher-mileage car (B) buy one with a crash history that is well documented for repairs (C) buy one in Canada and import it. good luck. it is a car worth spending every penny on....i came from a 135 just like you....and i would recommend buying a good car with a solid history; even if it means spending a bit more on it to get that. It is a very different car to own. Last edited by IEDEI; 06-10-2015 at 08:36 AM.. |

By the way, the one in Tampa was in 3 reported accidents per its Carfax. Who knows how it was driven other than that. In that case, at least to me, someone paid a premium at $47K. What I found, although I was only looking actively for 6 months, was you almost certainly get what you pay for. Good luck with your search and I hope you succeed with what ever budget you might be able to swing. They are great cars.

I totally agree IEDEI. Gonna have to pay up close to 60k for a clean one if it ever shows up. Dealers are asking 50's for sketchy ones so you really have to do your homework and sift through the mis-truths. I'm on the casual lookout for my second 1M. Only the best will do. Might be a year or more till one pops up.

I moved to a 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS. I was ready for a change. Still have the track wheels/tires/spacers too if someone wanted to track it.

Yes. I bought it to drive and have fun in not as an investment. But it has been well cared for.

You are in an upside down loan, asking about personal finances, trades on sketchy modded cars.
Honestly, are you trolling DJK? |

An upside down loan on a 1er isn't exactly crippling me from changing cars lol. If you read that thread you would know that I plan on switching cars in about a year when I'm right side up and have a large deposit ready. The financial advice is for me to judge what kind of car I should be looking at based on financial projections. Someone offered me the trade and I wanted opinions since I didn't know anything about the Evo.... Did I miss anything? Last edited by DJKapeesh; 08-10-2015 at 08:16 AM.. |
