Windscreen tint

I'm curious. I guess it is legal to tint the windscreen in your state?

It's illegal here in Australia and with good reason, I believe. Don't you drive at night? I sure wouldn't wear sunglasses driving at night and I'm not sure I'd like a tinted screen either.......

No, it's illegal, but so is no front license plate. So far I've gone by numerous cops without a problem. As long as I don't meet one having a bad day I may be okay.

As for driving at night with the front windshield tint... it's actually pretty subtle. I still wear sunglasses most of the time, although I could probably get by without them. Keep in mind, it blocks 50% of the light from coming into the car, but it doesn't do the same from inside the car. I can hardly tell it's there from inside the car. It also protects the dash and other interior from UV-rays. I recommend it to those considering the idea.
