I have ordered professional NAV in my 135 and I have asked the dealer to delay the build date until September. He has been told we won't be seeing the new idrive in the Australian 1 series but he does concede it doesn't make sense that they would make a separate model for Australia. I do have business NAV in my 3 series and that seems to work OK but as d3syd has already pointed out there isn't too many choices in Tasmania. We don't have many roads. A 1970's valve radio could probably pick the correct route!

Boy, I can see some disappointment coming. I have ordered the Business Nav mostly for I-drive but also for some sat-nav capabilities. My build is in August - SGM 135i vert. I am not prepared to give up this colour so I guess I have to settle for the inferior/out of date bus Idrive. I'm also not prepared to pay another 2 grand to upgrade to the prof nav - as long as the Idrive features are the same,...
I see the configurator is not updated to include the new Idrive/satnav. Any orders based on this would surely be a Sept build right? |

The latest BS from AutoClassic & BMW Aust.
The new nav system won't go into Australian production untill Dec 08 production. Smells like :bs:. I have to agree with the forum, that it is very unlikely that BMW won't upgrade the entrire production. Anyway, bit the bullet and ordered the pro nav. Here's hoping I've made the right choice.
