DV+ upgrade for n55
Hey guys, I recently purchased the dv+ from pure. I'm looking forward to installing it this weekend. I'm sure some people have installed this, anyone have any tips? Where exactly is the location of the valve? If I remove the inlet pipe, and the outlet pipe, will I have enough room to remove and install it? Easier from beneath? Thanks in advance, mike

Did this on my N55 135. Definitely not the easiest thing to get to. You really have to go at it from the bottom and remove the water pump. Once the WP is out you,ll see the DV. Make sure to put a little oil on the DV+ parts when installing.

Would be helpful for others if you actually shared how you ended up installing the DV+. Isn’t that the information you were looking for to begin with?

I actually just found a video on youtube of the waterpump removal. Once that is out, its clear as day right there. I was more or less seeking if it could be done without removing it and by the looks of it, it cannot. A shop near me quoted $285 for install as well. I was almost going to have them do it, but I finally found the motivation and just did it myself. Its not a everyday car so even if I ran into problems, I could have left the car sitting for as long as I need.

I will say, getting a 5mm allen on a socket helped a lot. Maybe even the one with the ball end would do it much better. Short version, not the long one.
