Smile Sport package or no sport package?

I was just wondering what the base seats are like? because I'm using the configurator on bmw's website and when i deselect the sport pack or the msport pack, the seats doesn't change. so I was wondering how the base seats are like? because I havent seen diff seats on the 135i on this website anywhere.
thankyou

I wouldn't settle for no sports seats IMHO. Sports package adds so much more to the car... wheels, seats, steering wheel, m badging.

Get the sport package, or M sport package.
But, get a sport package.

Take it from someone whose last two BMWs were base models and whose new one has the Sports Package.

Get the Sports Package.

Never get a base Bimmer.

The Bimmer sport seats are incredibly well done... fits me like a glove.

Factory sport seats are a nice comprimise. I like the BMW Performance seats, and if they were an option, and I was building a car from scratch, I'd get them. The trouble is if you get a base car and you actually want something very sporty, you'd need...
- BMW Performance seats
- exhaust
- intake (on a 128i)
- performance suspension
- body kit, either ///M or BMW Performance

You would most likely have to pay a dealer to install all that, and you'd be at a much higher price than getting the M Sport package, which includes some nice wheels.

wait the sport package doesn't have wheels right? just the seats and etc. and keeps the base 5 spoke wheels? the configurator is confusing me.

and also the sports seats are 8 way MANUAL adjustable. so should I add the power front seats? after I add the power seats option, do I still get to keep the sports seats?

I would like to know who here has manual or power seats!

Sport package does not change wheels on the 135. The M-Sport package (at only 200$ more) will give you the M wheels, black headliner, and M badge on door sills.

You can get power seats with sport seats. It's up to you whether you want it or not. I have manual seats. I set my position when I picked my car up at the dealership and haven't touched it since.

I have the sports package in a 128i vert and my seats are manual adjust. The adjustment of the side bolsters for width of your body is electric, but all the other adjustments are manual. The stock seats do not adjust for width and have pretty flat construction. So if you get to spirited driving you will slide around. The sports seats adjust for width so they can hold you in position much better.

Manual adjust is no big deal to me because I am the only driver of my vert. With the electric seats, I think the key fob remembers your positions and automatically adjusts the seats. That could be very nice with multiple drivers.

I got different wheels but it seems you do not. I also got a little stiffer suspension which I think you will get too. It is not harsh but does not wander around either. I like it. I cruised about 80 miles on the interstate this morning to the airport. I felt a couple areas of the pavement were it was really rough but I still would rate it a good highway ride. I will run it in an autocross Oct. 17 and I will really like the stiffer suspension for that.

My 128 didn't have sport seats, but my 135 does (power sport seats). As far as I'm concerned the sport seats are very much worth getting.

Just like the steering wheel, the seat is a part your body comes in contact with while driving and so you get feedback from it. And also like that beefy steering wheel, the sport seats adds to the driving experience.

That said, my 128's seats were very comfortable and I have no complaints, I just think these sport seats are superior. And I'm not sure I'd feel the same if my sport seats weren't power - not so much for me, but my passengers always seem to be adjusting the seat's position.

Get it. This is coming from someone who purchased a prebuilt car already on the lot. Though I am extremely happy with my car, the only thing I would change about the car are the seats, since it did not have the sports package. Frankly, the main difference are the bottom side bolsters and the part the expands forward to support the knees.

Personally, I could care less for anything else the sports package has to offer, which is why I purchased the car the way it was configured, but the seats alone are worth the extra money! I know I will end up buying sports/performance seats as soon as a set comes along.

The back part of the seats are more agressive on the sport seats. They hug you better on your sides/kidney area. The regular seats do not have this.

I think for the sport seats and thicker steering wheel - the M-sport option is a MUST HAVE.

I would never get a car without sport, almost got this one without sport until I tried out one with the sport.

I thought the heated seats and wheel, navigation, comfort access and power seats are the must and priority but I guess so is the sport packages haha

one important thing to keep in mind if you are getting manual seats is that the sport seats have an additional adjustment over the base seats. The manual sport seats have a tilt where the manual base seats do not. Both sport and non-sport power seats have the tilt. Avoid the non-sport manual seats.

So, get the sport or M-sport package. If you are the only driver then manual seats will be fine. If you share a car then power seats may be worth it for the memory function.

I've owned BMWs with both sport and nonsport seats and they are both comfortable. The sport seats grip the driver better for "sporting" driving, and the non-sport fit some folk better for long distance interstate travel. Try both & then make your choice.

Also, many of us with back problems really appreciate the lumbar adjustment, but unfortunately, it can only be ordered as part of the Premium Package. If you will be getting most of the other PP stuff (power seats, etc.), you might consider it.

DEF get either the sport pkg or the M-Sport.

I'm glad I got the M-Sport, I NOW like those wheels better than the regular 5-spoke.

I love the seats too. Although, I wish i would've gotten the manual seats b/c I am told they sit lower in the car. Even at it's lower setting, IMO they are still not low enough for me. Anyone that has driven my car hates my seating position.

But anyways...Seats are great and wheels are great in the M-Sport pkg.

Can't go wrong,
