Why are there no 1-ers in pick 'n pull junkyards?
I have looked all over the place for these, and have never come across a junkyard that had a 1 series on site for sale (with salvage title) nor have I seen one up for pick and pull. I know there are others out there, but is there some secret scrapyard that hoards them all?

I think it's simply that most junkyards deal with older, more worn out cars, and even most 2008 E82s just aren't that worn out yet. Give it another five years and they'll probably start popping up with more frequency.

Even here in California Republic of BMW, I rarely see E82's around.

I frequent Pick and pull yards. all the time. The latest models i see are around 10 years old in these yards. Rarely see anything newer anyway no matter make/model. 1 is rare enough and new enough I doubt they are gonna be in them for a while. I have not seen any 2007ish 3/5 series even yet. I bet you will see those first before you see any 1's.
