Well yes it is easy compared to dp's. But it does have some tricky/careful bits, like the o-ring at the throttle body end, that if you don't do correctly your not going anywhere until you get a new o-ring. I would do my own now but I have seen it done before.

Btw did you get a bov or dv's

As mentioned above I got the DME updated at BMW (which I had to pay for). JB4 has been working fine, I also updated with the ISO firmware about 2 months ago.

If you drive a 2012 vehicle I doubt you need a DME update. Pretty sure it was only the 2010 or early 2011 N55 vehicles that needed an update.
