A Crimson Red 128i?
Does anyone else think that a Crimson Red 128i with SP would look really hot? It's between Crimson and Jet Black and I don't know which to choose!

Actually that "red=more tickets" mantra is just an urban myth -there has been rigourous research done looking at ticket frequency versus color distriubution and red cars are NOT ticketed any more than any other color (on a per-vehicle basis of course).

I used to think red was too bright of a color for my taste...but then I fell in love with a Rosso Red(albeit faded) XR4Ti... and well I reallly like the Montego Blue...but that Crimson is nice...just think it might a little too eye-catching...but then that's 1/2 the price of the sport pkg...making it easier to justify another $500 for the sport seats and suspension... |

I have never had to tell my insurance agent the color of my car.

You always hear people say that about red cars, though, as well as the ticket thing. People react strongly to red cars for some reason. When I got my Crimson Red 1er, most of the comments wre about the color. I think most people are afraid to try to pull it off, but I think it looks great. But, um - no, you shouldn't get one. Definitely go with the black. I'm moving to TX in a couple of months and I don't want any competition!

I'm about to order Vermillion Red with Coral Red Interior...that's right, I'm bold and proud of it. (I'm cheating a bit by tinting the glass so it won't look so contrasting)

Crimson red is amazing... so amazing that my 128i and my brothers 135i are both crimson red.
I have never gotten a ticket... and I have had the car for almost 2 years now... I always get compliments about the color, but you gotta keep it clean since its non metallic : )

yellow is the new red for cops to target for ticket.
get red, you'll love it and it will look great. In nebraska, you have even less of a chance at being targeted for a red vehicle... too many crazy husker fans.

Hey Officer: I'm over here !
Seriously, you don't see secret service agents in red suits, do you ?
Just kidding. Get the color you like ! Personally, if Vermillion Red was available when I got my car, I would have been all over it. |
