burnouts?

yeah, this may seem kind of childish and silly but why else would I have bought this car?

I tried to power brake the thing and it just sat there not letting me burn out.

DCT all the way off, in sport mode, in 1st (automatic) and I couldnt get the thing wheels to break loose.

whats the deal?

The car will not allow breaking and much power at the same time because it is abusive to the clutches. This is one advantage a traditional automatic actully has over the DCT. In order to do a burnout, turn off traction and DTC, put in M1, push the sport button, and then just floor it. You can't stay in the same place exactly but you can do a burnout all the way through 2nd if the traction conditions are fairly normal. I hope there is a software option that could allow this for people who like to go to a drag strip to warm their tires.

If you feel the need hoon in a small area I would suggest the good old fashion doughnut. You can spin the tires and get a better feeling of the cars balance. If you have even more space you should try som figure 8s. Drive the car on the limits and control your steering with the throttle than transition from one direction to the next. This is how I dial in my car to a large extent. It is easy to feel if your car is understeering or oversteering and to what extent. That is just my take though. If you want to do a standstill burnout you are out of luck I believe.

It worked for me when I launched my car. Nice little peal out and no traction until almost 3rd -____- it was fun though.

You have to turn the traction control all the way off and put it in sport or manual. If you put your foot all the way down past the point of resistance and itll kick the clutch in and youll spin the tires just fine. If you press the sport button itll help too.

Also just to clear it up as far as launch control for the DCT on the 135 these are the steps:

1. Put the car in Manual mode
2. Press the DSC button once so that DSC shows up on the dash
3. Turn the sport button on
4. Press the break
5. While holding the break press the gas down past the resistance point and hold it
6. The car will rev to about 3500 RPM and a race flag will come up
7. When you are ready to launch let go of the break. Keep your foot all the way down until you get to what your willing to go to. If you keep your foot down the shifting will be optimized all the way through the gears. Makes a big different.

Hope this helped.
