I am not too sure what I am going to do. I do know that the RIV has 08 BMWs on the approved list and BMW of Canada does warranty US cars (minus the free service) and if there are no rebates, I may have to take a trip South. I absolutely would prefer to buy from a Canadian dealer but I am in a situation where I do not have a pile of cash laying around. I am relatively young and can comfortably afford the monthly payments of a 40,000 car financed at a reasonable interest rate. I haven't had the opportunity or time to accumulate a great deal of cash, so purchasing from the States gets complicated. On one hand I will be saving a significant amount of money purchasing through the US....but on the other hand I am not too crazy about purchasing through a large line of credit. I don't know......

Well, let's hope it's a present this year.

To be fair to them though, it's not as if their fixed costs rise and fall with the dollar. Pretty sure most of us wouldn't be understanding if our salaries fluctuated with the currency. That being said, I'm looking south if the differential is more than a couple grand on an equivalent, post-transaction cost basis.

Agreed, I don't mind a 10% delta, but if it get's above 20%, I'll probably hold onto my Z4 a couple more years..
