Pic request: 135i leatherette seats
So far it seems everyone's getting Boston leather seats - I'd like to see what -$1320 looks like in terms of material. I've seen e36s in leatherette. My e30 is leatherette and still looks somewhat like new to this day compared to leather seats of the era.

There's an earlier post that has black leatherette in the photos.

I have black leatherette but do not know how to post pics. I did a search and it returned no results. If anyone can private message me as to how I can go about posting pics of my new beautiful ride that would be great! Thanks

How about Taupe Leatherette? I have Black in the MINI and would get it in the 135,but I am wondering about the lighter color and less heat factor. I would love to hear someone's impression.

I have the black leatherette with manual sport seats. The quality of the leatherette is great and to me it feels better than the leather which is too grainy in my opinion.

How to post pics...
1.) take pictures with digital camera 2.) tranfers pics from camera to PC or camera directly to website like photobucket.com 3.) each uploaded pic should have hyperlinks with the tags necessary to just copy and paste into your post. |

Thanks. I will post pics sometime this weekend. The leatherette looks great, and it is very hard to tell the difference. It doesn't have the grains like real leather but you can't beat the durability factor. My A4 had leather seats but the bolsters were leatherette and Audi's leatherette is crap. I am happy with my decision. The manual seats also work great and don't miss the power at all!

To post pics and store them here, just use the "Manage Attachments" hyperlink under reply box, when in "Go Advanced" mode, which will open a pop-up with browse buttons on it.
If your pictures meet the format requirements (for jpgs, they have to be less than 585Kb, and be 1300x1240 max), simply browse to where they are on your computer and select the picture(s) you want. Once you do that, click the "Upload" button on that dialog box... then "Submit Reply". It sounds much harder than it is. |

I have black leatherette as well. If peppebmw do not have it up by Sat, you can wait for mine. I am picking up the car after work so there wouldn't any light for photo shoot on friday night.

I'm either going to do leatherette, or get boston leather and throw a quality set of sheepskin covers on mine to preserve them + cleaning conditioning every month. Here's what BMW leather looks like at 15 years. After 10 years if you take care of them! [img] |

I was referring to the 2002 A4. Audi doesn't put leatherette in the A4 anymore. It is either leather or cloth which you will never find on a lot unless special ordered. My 06 A4 had leather with leatherette bolsters. The 02's leatherette looked like a bandaid and was slippery as hell! BMW's is nice and tacky.
