Dropping in to say hello
Hi all,
Just thought I'd drop in and say hi. I've just signed away on that piece of paper for a 135i coupe (which costs an arm and a leg in Australia, compared to the US). Cashmere silver, adaptive headlights, comfort access, pro sat nav, sunroof and more, the lot pretty much. Reading around I realised alot of people have trouble with their 1er? But I went for it anyway. Best car I've driven. Pics and comments to follow after I take delivery, which should be in a week or so. |

Well here in the states we have a lot of HPFP issues and it is being blamed on the high ethanol content fuel we have now. Ethanol sucks. It robs power and fuel economy but cleans up the exhaust for smog. If you do not have ethanol in your fuel you may not have anywhere near the headaches some of us have. My car is only 2 months old and is in right now getting its 2nd HPFP. They are freaking out in Germany my tech said due to the huge numbers of replacements they are doing. It cost them 1000 US dollars for each one. Now each fuel system related issue is a PUMA case and the dealer needs clearance for the replacement. Some cases they want to monitor the car over night to see where the pressure drop is if you get an injector issue like I had. They monitor other things as well. They are getting nutty about it.
