Window Tint as factory option?
I am going to get a 135i through military sales when they are available next spring....#1 on the list. One question that I have is can tint be ordered as a factory option? I look at the brochures and never really see a mention of it but it seems crazy to think that BMW would not offer it to an entire market when I see it as an option for the UK. By the way I am going to be heading to Frankfurt on the 15th for the auto show and will be taking tons of photos....send in your requests and I will try to comply.

Oh I'd love a picture of the differential - rear axle. I suspect the display stand will be swamped - and or they may have it sitting on a turnstile with a 'Eintrag Verboten' sign on it. ; -)

One thing you can check out if it is possible. The exhaust system. Many folks have been wondering if it is single pipe, or double pipe back to a single muffler. The 335i is true dual exhaust from the TTs, and we know the 135i is a single muffler. It would be great if you can see what is in between.
Any more info you can find out about the brake stup (Brembo, cooling ducts, rotors) and any info on the "sport" suspenion (springs, shocks, different links on the 135 from the 128) would be great too. I wish they would offer tint as well. I much prefer tinted glass instead of film. Either way it is mandatory. If BMW does not offer it, I wil just have the dealership do that and a clear bra before I pick it up. Many cars they have on the lot are tinted. |

I know everyone is very eager to see the underbody of this beast and I will do my best. The interior should be must the same as the 1-hatch which I find to be just about the perfect size and I am 6'5". Come on doesn't anyone know about tint/privacy glass? I see the X3 and X5 have them as options but everything else is the dumb overpriced sun shade.

are you #1 on the list at your military sales dealer or #1 overall? my guy told me that BMW AG isn't accepting orders until the end of the year (probably when the finalized price is out), but that the military dealer can start taking deposits. i'm wondering if that's true everywhere.

#1 at my Military Sales Dealer; I have their first 1 series production slot. Yups orders don't start until the price is finalized. At the end of the day it means I will be getting my 135i March 22nd.
