garage "while you were out"

the garage used to be the office when the house was the model home, that's why it has crown molding and lot of lights etc...I did not add those. I decided to clean it out and redo it by painting a two-tone wall color grey and dark grey, then I bought those 12x12 garage tiles from Lowes, they just snap together and you cut the ends to fit...pretty easy but cost $52 a box which has 8 in a box...that costs about $400 to cover the garage but it was well worth it. The black foam boards I just bought at Staples and put them up on the wall to eventually add some pictures to them.

All in all, it turned out really good. Everytime one of my neighbors walks by, they are amazed and ask if I'm going to move my bed down there and live in there!........Anyway it's a fun project..and makes an amazing difference.

Thanks all for the nice comments.....it's nice to know what other people think and get suggestions.

Guy at my work just traded in his '04 E60 530i for a brand new E93 335i coupe/conv. and he got the Performance wheels (same ones Zany) and DAMN do these wheels look hot in person! You think the photo's look good..... DAMN!!!! When I eventually buy my 1er (or 3er) I'm definitely going to invest in a set of these ($1200 per wheel hurts the wallet).

they cost about $350 per wheel from 1addicts sponsors for the 1 series... or were you referring to another type of wheel?

Same wheel. This is what I was told by the guy that owns the car.

Yeh I sure won't. You can't always count on the stealership to leave you jipped.

Wheels & Tire from BMW dealership

Well, that's an interesting story. When I called to order these wheels for my 1, parts mgr said they were $1,500 for the 18" performance wheels. I said wow that's not bad but what about the run flat tires, sensors, wheel locks if I want everything mounted balanced so I can just slap them on. he checked and called me back to say $4,500!.........so I said you are telling me the tires, sensors and wheel locks cost $3,000???? does not make sense I can get run-flats from discount tire for about $330 in that size.......he agreed to take 20% off the price but it was still way too high. I got the wheels from the dealership and the tires from discount tire and had them mounted myself with the sensors/wheel locks and everything. At the end cost me $3,100 for everything. I would not suggest buying run flats from BMW....they are marked up way too high.........

Any chance you weighed those rims before putting the tires on? Would be good to get real-world poundage on them. Though I think I'm scared to find out the results.

Looks absolutely awesome. Those wheels really suit the car colour well - I've seen them on silver and it just doesn't work.

I think the E88 looks ok by the way

Looks awesome!! The micro antenna is a nice change.

I'm sorry but the regular long antenna is stupid looking. BMW should have done an integrated antenna like the 3 or 6 convertible.

Hey,
I don't know of any BMW events in Tysons. I see a few sweet 3 series in the Bethesda & NW DC area. One guy has a 3 series wagon, all black, that is BAD! You were turning left onto Arlington @ Bradley when I saw you.

Did someone say SMG? This is exactly what I'm planning. Note the brown and white spinners. My appologies to the real owner of this SMG, and also for the quick and dirty PS job. Hopefully someone will do a better job.

@zanyviper: The car looks great, but I have to comment on two things that really stood out.
1. Great angles, lighting and framing on the photos. What type of camera?
2. I saw the garage and my instantaneous thought was, "Wow, that is niiiiice" Then I read on further and realized I was not just seeing things. Everyone else was seeing it too! Great job guy!
