after watching that video.. all i can say is holy crap that was intense... driving characteristics like gta4 and i didn't know gopro's exited back then... i guess they would pull over, have the camera guy get out of the car and lay on the hood with the camera near the bumper lol

Thanks! Both the rear spoiler and exhaust are stock actually. The rear valence however, is an iCarbon unit. The color does look like mineral grey, but it is actually sparkling graphite metallic that was only available back in '08.

Glad to see others enjoyed the photos.
This year was the first year teh race to the top was fully paved. It helped reduce the uneasiness going around corners knowing it was pavement and not dirt! I was amazed at the intense level of awareness you have you get when driving up. Even at a slow speed, it's pretty nerve wracking an you can only barely just glance out the window for fear of missing the next turn... Major respect for the race drivers, and more props to those who did it years ago! Maybe we can get some additional drive in early Oct or something??

Assuming road bike and not motorcycle:
The local club had a couple of rides scheduled recently. The first was canceled due to snow, the second was cancelled due to a lack of participation. Regardless, the rub is that the ascent is achievable. The descent is quite difficult due to being at a 5-15% down angle for the duration. It puts a lot of pressure on the hands. If you get numb hands, this ain't for you. |

wtf, the ridewithgps link isn't coming through.
Search for ride# 1751540 on ridewithgps . com --despite living in Colorado, I've never done any long hill climbs or descents. Last edited by 135ivert; 10-07-2013 at 11:10 PM.. |

Thanks I'll be posting a quick review of this trip, along with some additional history/videos of the hill climb over at Drive 4 Corners. I will try to update this thread when it is posted.
