Work Fitment
Hi everyone, I'm looking into getting work rims, specs
18x8.5 et 38- 225-40-18 for front 18x10 et 45 - 255-35-18 for rear I need some feedback from someone who has an experience with similar rim size/offset. I'm quite positive 10's on the rear requires fender roll but i'd like confirmation on that also, Thanks, Andre

My setup is in my signature. The main issue is you'll be 6mm or so further towards the fender than me in the rear. I don't rub at all anymore with the right tires and a fender roll. My first tires did rub but I think this helped me as I further rolled/bent these areas out to completely get rid of my rub now.
I'd definitely go with the tire sizes you listed in a ToyoT1R. How much you lower will effect how much you have to roll or camber. Unlowered it will rub in the rear over bumps or with passengers, be okay up front. I'd get the rears rolled or preferably trimmed then add camber if needed. More camber in the rear will make our uneven tire wear problem even worse.

The front will be more of a problem than the rear. I have et45 all around and 8.5 fronts. Tire sizing is crucial here. 225 and 245 would be fine.

18x8.5 front +40mm on 225/40-18's bridgestone re-01r's and have never had an issue. rears are same setup with tons of issues 255/35-18. shaved and rolled, only rub now on hard bumps. The biggest issue is where the metal fender connects to the bumper.. it's not meant to be flared... lol

That sounds like it's going to be a squeeze. I think 245s in the back would work with that fitment on the rear. I have a feeling you're going to have more issues with the front fitting. |
