eTag
Is there any trick to getting an eTag to work in a 1 Series?
I've tried a couple of different spots in the 1M and the damn thing isn't beeping. Wonder if the whole windscreen is metalised like an Audi A8?

no problem on the 135i and as far as I know the windscreen is the same - that reminds me that I need to order another holder for the 1M

duno if this will help you or not, but i have noticed that in Melbourne the eastlink tags work better than the citylink tags, so it may be tag related rather than your car?

we put our e-tag (citylink) in the storage bin on the front dash, works a treat (as long as you don't have the screen there).
e87 hatch though, windscreens may differ |

Mine wasn't working properly and after ringing Citilink they told me that I must have a metallic windscreen and therefore that they would note this on my account and therefore I no longer need to carry an etag.

Got it sorted, thanks. It was the battery and they just swapped it out for one of the new smaller ones.

I started a thread like this months ago I think, ended up just calling ROAM and they waived the matching fee as they themselves suggested that it is a metallic windshield. I leave the bugger at home
