yes, that button is the downhill decent control - or HDC as BMW likes to call it. i havent tired it yut maybe when it gets snowy outi will have to give it a shot -
You can control the donwhill speed of the car, as long as you are going under 20Mph, to speeds between 3 and 15. it works kinda like cruise control and that you see the same little bar move on the outside of the speedometer

more 325XI pics..

It finally stopped raining and was able to take some more pics. I installed aluminum pedals; chrome kidney grills and chrome tail pipe tips(well...tomorrow for them). The car has comfort access, premium package, I-drive with Navi, Xenons, steptronic, logic 7, grey leather, bluetooth with moto 815, aluminum trim, headlamp washers(standard with the XI) and heated seats. Feel free to ask any questions.

Feel free to ask questions?
a) did you buy dinner for your salesman?
b) just how happy are you?????
c)the car looks great, I think the perception is that the XI is jacked up like a Hummer...was that a worry for you?
d) how long do you plan to keep the car
e) did you enjoy its handling through puddles, rain, on slippery curves? Does xDrive rock or what?

And a comment:

HDC is a blast. I goofed around with it on our X5 last winter on steep roads when it was slippery, and basically you push the button and take your feet off the pedals and the car works its way down the hill...way cool!

Well, I leased the X3 for 40 months and I currently have a 1990 mercedes 300e(my everyday car for high miles) I paid cash for the e90. I am 31 and my daughter is 10 so in 7 years I'm going to give it to her. I plan on keeping it in the garage and out of the elements(at least until the novelty wears off) we know how that goes...e.g. I'm not smoking or eating in my car.....3 months later........puff puff/chomp chomp....BTW thanks for the kind words

Ha ha, yeah, promises, promises! And I'll wash it every other day or until whatever! I'm already resigned to McDonald's breakfast almost everyday in the poor car and I haven't even got it yet!

Ordered mine July 28th and they say it'll be ready the 31st of Ocotber.... I know it's off the boat now..

I'm busting my butt for a year-end miracle, also October 31st, so this will be my reward.

Now it's time to get back to work!
