Today was the day! PCD BSM

Well, Im not much of a writer and not much of a photographer, but today was the long awaited PCD of my BSM 1M. My wife and I drove a 1-way rental up from Atlanta last night and arrived at the Airport to dropoff the car at 5:45. We hopped onto the shuttle and were at the Hotel by 6:05. 25 minutes later we were sitting down to eat dinner. This is my second PCD, and the hotel is still fantastic with great service and food. They treat the BMW customers (and Im sure everyone else) really well.

We got up this morning and were at the Performance Center by 8:00. Perfect Weather and great times. This was my wife's first PCD and she had a great time. I think she surprised a few guys the first time she took off the line for the braking exercise and went to the red-line for her shift from 1st to 2nd. Donnie Isley's comment after the skid pad was, "She really likes the gas pedal!"

The M5 Hot Lap was a highlight of the day and Donnie and the others do a fabulous job all around helping the delivery customers have a truly memorable experience.

A few pictures

Your BSM car is beautiful. And it's clean (which is always good). The M5 hot lap looked interesting; not the smoothest driving I've ever seen, but I guess the point was to emphasize the power or just to have fun. Thanks for posting the PCD!

Ha ha, we believe you, just love to see a pic of how they complete the interior, just seen them as a standalone shot.

My inability to hold the camera still probably contributed to that a little, but it was a complete drift lap just to put smiles on peoples faces. At the end, he basically misses the exit point of the skid pad on purpose just so he can do the moonshine turnaround. The only reason I know this is my wife was on the sidelines with another of the instructors and he told her to watch as Donnie purposely missed the exit.

Looks like you had a great time! Glad you got to move your PCD date up as well. Didn't tell you, but I talked to Ginger and my new PCD date is locked for the 5th. Thanks a LOT of the advice...she's been just awesome!! Enjoy the time with your car...I'm very jealous as I wait until the 5th for mine! (Glad that they have those 1M floor mats in stock now too...they WERE on backorder).

That's great, I am glad they were able to move it up for you. Once you get the right person on the phone, they seem to be more than willing to help...

The 5th will be here before you know it!

No, I had that landscape airbrushed in. I'm planning on a virgin Mary hovering over the grand canyon for the rear 1/4 panel very soon....

;-)

Thinking something like this....

I understand! My daily post count was inversely related to the number of days till my delivery. The closer it got, the more time I spent in here...
