Rieger Diffuser Install Quesstions - Avoid Drilling?

For those who've installed the Rieger rear diffuser, is it possible to NOT have to drill the 2 holes on the side and use double sided tape in place? Stole these pics from another site...

I would not recommend it. That being said, the drill marks are on the inside of the bumper- you won't be able to see them with a diffuser (of any make) installed. It's honestly not a big deal.

Those also aren't the only areas where fasteners are recommended- they also suggest using self-tapping screws on the top section. I personally didn't do it, as double-sided tape will suffice.

Seems like tape would work fine but if the holes don't show, I wouldn't mind using them to prevent any potential drooping.

Thanks I knew the holes wouldn't show but would've still preferred to use double sided tape if it got the job done.

Now just a matter of finding a US distributor who carries gloss black, seems like the only one I've seen listed on websites are the faux carbon.

Will be interested to see how this looks in person. In pics it's a bit too "tuner" for my taste but need to actually see it to be able to tell.

Good luck with purchase/install!

Which is my hesitation too, the side profile looks a bit aggressive. Without a drop, wide wheels and aero to match, not sure it'll look balanced. Still thinking this through...

Given the amount of air that can flow up into this diffuser from the muffler area, I strongly recommend against it. There would be literally no solid support beyond double-sided tape for the piece.

If it's front-facing aero, I could understand, as the wind would be pushing against the tape. However, this is pulling away from the tape, which makes me much more hesitant to even consider this (especially since you can't see the fasteners).

I agree with cat, double sided tape is not a good option in this case. I had the diffuser for awhile till I went to an icarbon one.OP I took my off because I thought it was to aggressive(boy racer) compared to the rest of my car, but if your cars lowered and you have an aggressive set of rims it will look good. Here's my car with it on.

Pics of the newly installed iCarbon one? How much did that run you (if you don't mind me asking)?

+1
I got the matte black one and am very happy with it. You have to install the mesh yourself but it's only a minor PITA to do.
